Creative writing workshops for youth in grades 9-12 are offered every Monday from 2:45 to 4 p.m. beginning Monday, Jan. 9, 2023. These workshops are about the joy of writing. We won't focus on grammar, punctuation, or spelling. We will read short texts by contemporary authors as a means of inspiration. Participants should bring a notebook and writing instrument. Paper and pencil will be provided if workshoppers don't have them readily available. In an effort to keep the classes open, masks are required inside the building.
In addition to the "About Me" info you'll find here, I have taught composition and English literature at Sierra College and am currently working toward a Career Tech Ed credential. I possess a preliminary teaching credential, and I also work as a youth librarian and have completed a background check. I'm happy to share this info upon request.
These workshops are currently offered free with the support of Arts Council of Placer County . Drop-ins are welcome. 190 Finley St., Auburn, California.
